Speledans is the Boston area's Scandinavian folk dance organization. We put on public dances on a fairly regular schedule. We also list a few other Scandinavian-related dance and music events here. The schedule is often sparse during the summer (because so many of us are off at Scandinavian dance events).

The usual schedule each month is:

Places where our dances are held:
Arlington Park Ave Congregational Church
map directions
50 Paul Revere Road, Arlington, Mass, USA
Brookline Church of Our Savior
map directions
25 Monmouth Street, Brookline, Mass, USA
(In case of bad weather, call the Brookline Police Department at 617-730-2222 to see if there's a parking ban.)
Arlington Church of Our Savior
map directions
21 Marathon Street, Arlington, Mass, USA
Admission to most events is now $6.

  • Musicians might be interested in checking out the phenomenon of sharable, emailable music using the ABC notation. I have a music directory / that is full of music in ABC notation; the Scand subdirectory contains some Scandinavian tunes that the Boston gang plays.
