The Athole Collection
The Athole Collection

The Athole Collection is one of the historic collections of Scottish dance music. It was compiled by James Stewart Robertson of Edradynate, Perthshire, who was a founding member of The Edinburgh Highland Reel and Strathspey Society and its president from 1881. The collection was published in 1881, and then reprinted in 1961, and again in 1996. It seems to be out of print now (2011).

The ABC transcriptions here have come from many people, most of them not identified in the tunes' headers. A few have been modified somewhat, mostly by the addition of accompaniment chords.
